Our Origins -

           Vietnam Veterans Incorporated (VVI) was established over forty years ago in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At that time, many veteran organizations in the area, such as the VFW, predominantly consisted of World War II veterans and did not fully recognize Vietnam veterans as equals. As awareness of PTSD symptoms increased, Vietnam veterans sought a supportive environment where they could openly share their experiences with others who had faced similar challenges. This need for understanding and camaraderie was a driving force behind the formation of VVI.

           

Our core values -

               *Foster and promote comradeship and “Esprit de Corp” among Vietnam Veterans.

               *Assist disabled and needy Vietnam Veterans and the dependents of Vietnam Veterans.

               *To promote the physical and cultural improvement and growth development, self-respect and self-confidence of Vietnam Veterans.

Membership - We have over 600 members in our Pittsburgh and Fayette County PA groups.

​

Affiliations - We are not affiliated with the Vietnam Veterans of America organization.

Meetings –

                Meetings are on the 1st Thursday of each month. They are held at either the Brentwood VFW Post 1810 (3 PM) at 3801 Saw Mill Run Blvd, Pittsburgh 15227 or Solders and Sailors Memorial hall (7 PM) 4141 5th Avenue, Pittsburgh 15213. See our calendar for where the monthly meeting is held.

                Also, at 8 AM, each Thursday morning, we get together for breakfast at Gianna Via's located in Whitehall Borough at the Shoppes at Caste Village. In addition to the great food and camaraderie, information is passed along from leadership and many times there is a speaker with updates on current programs for Veterans.
